Sunday 13th september 2009 Harvest Service
During the Harvest Service, worship was led by one of the worship team members, Glenda. We had a lovely poem by Jade, and heard from the tudor road chior. We also had songs from sister Nadine, sister Faye, sister Douglas and sister Janine. The word for this evening was brought by Sister Maureen Morris from cogop Knowle west, the topic for the sermon was `Blessed to be a blessing’.
Harvest Poem written by Jade – 13th September 2009
Harvest is a year when people help by growing crops on their farms
All around the world people like you and me give a small donation of tinned food
Round the world there are people starving in places like Africa
Vegetables, crisps, tinned food and fruit in cans are just one of the things you can put in cardboard boxes and help the poor
Every one of us could help by giving some of your food to day
Seed’s are what help us grow wheat to make bread
Thank you fro listening to my harvest poem
